✨ What's New

Panoramic inspection

  • Observations can now be created and worked on directly on 360° panoramic images. Manhole and other panoramic captures flow through the product like any other observation — visible in Inspect, Insight and the Asset Home Page, openable in the standalone observation viewer, and with a correct thumbnail on every surface.

Inspect

  • Multi-image observation linking — one observation can now be backed by bounding boxes and crops across several images. "Add to existing" is available from an AI suggestion, a manually drawn box, or a component; the modal defaults to showing observations of the same type.
  • Multi-select on the image — the arrow icon enables selecting several components or AI suggestions at once (same type only), then creating either one observation with multiple bounding boxes or several observations in one go.
  • Settings in the image toolbar — controls whether hidden bounding boxes appear on hover. Hover-reveal replaces the old Ctrl requirement, so building a multi-selection no longer competes with holding a modifier key.
  • AI suggestion handling — suggestions can be invalidated from the image or the list, or marked as duplicate when the finding is already covered elsewhere. Both land in separate sections in the panel and can be restored.
  • Edit observation type on confirmed observations — the type can be changed in edit mode to correct a misclassification without deleting and recreating. Only types sharing the same property setup are selectable.
  • Remove a crop from an observation — individual crops can be removed from the thumbnail when an observation has more than one, without deleting the observation itself.
  • Edit mode isolates the selected observation — only the bounding boxes for the observation being edited show on the image, even with the show-all toggles enabled.
  • Prompt to complete the task — after the final asset is done, a prompt offers "Complete task" directly instead of requiring a trip to Task overview.

Insight / Grid Analytics * Buckets for severity, priority, condition risk and other dimensions are now fully configurable — an admin UI defines bucket groups, colour themes and value ranges, with per-profile label overrides for customers who need different terminology. * The dashboard is now updated to only show Open observations. Al completed observations are no longer included in lists and KPIs, but still available in a separate tab in the Observation tracker module for visibility.

The Observations Tracker * The Observations Tracker is split into Open and Closed tabs, keeping the main view focused on observations that still need attention.

Public API * The GV API can bring a project group all the way to "ready for inspection" — creating the group, attaching its assets and linking their media in one flow.

AI Studio and GV integration

  • First version of AI Studio model integration in Grid Vision: eSmart admins can map AI Studio models to Grid Vision observation types per participant, and the AI Processor discovers and runs those tenant-specific models as part of normal inspection processing.

🐛 Bug Fixes

Inspect - Editing a bounding box while creating an observation from a component no longer discards the observation. - Bounding boxes no longer flicker or jump while an AI suggestion is being resized. - Multi-image observations show a single download icon instead of two.

QA - The QA tasks grid no longer crashes on mount when a saved filter uses an operator that is no longer offered. - Clearing severity or priority in the observation form actually clears it, rather than silently writing back the previous value.

  • The "assets in approved group" chart in Grid Analytics reports correct numbers.

  • Asset IDs are no longer drawn on the map when the asset layer is toggled off.

  • General fixes in the import services

🔧 Improvements

  • Import KPIs load noticeably faster on large imports.
  • The Imports view drops the Suggested group column, removing a significant performance drag.
  • Administrators can configure which modules and roles each participant has access to, and Customer Management now runs on real FGA-based authorisation instead of an injected role header.
  • Grid Analytics excludes Completed and Invalid observations from its queries and filters, so counts reflect open work.
  • The Grid Analytics observations panel is renamed "Open observations" and its counts align with the rest of the product.
  • The Severity cross-filter in the Grid Analytics observations table is reachable again.
  • Data Management picks up its missing translation keys, and translations work consistently across all frontend applications.

  • Data Management suggests new assets for participants that do not yet have any.

✨ What's New

Inspect

  • Edit mode now isolates the selected observation — Only the bounding boxes for the observation being edited are shown while in edit mode, regardless of the "Show confirmed observations" toggle. All bounding boxes return to their previous state when edit mode is exited.

Observation export

  • The export from the observation list in Work now includes direct links to both the Asset home page and Inspect, making it easier to navigate directly from the export file to the relevant asset or observation in Grid Vision.

✨ What's New

Inspect updates

  • Multiple AI observation suggestions of the same type can be merged into a single observation.
  • You can now create multiple observations of the same type for different components in one batch.
  • An AI suggestion can be added to an existing observation instead of creating a new one.
  • AI suggestions can be marked as a duplicate or invalidated as a false positive, and invalidated and duplicate suggestions remain visible so they are never lost.
  • The Observation edit panel now shows all crops and source files, with a thumbnail card that has navigation arrows and a matching download.

Collect & Data management improvements

  • When a project group is approved, Grid Analytics now updates automatically — no more waiting for the nightly job. Data should be ready shortly after approval.

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • Selecting an observation suggestion in the list now highlights it on the image, making it easier to locate.
  • PDF report generation is now reliable, and reports are fully translated.

✨ What's New

Plan

  • Advanced Project Setup is now available, allowing project administrators to configure projects in detail directly in Grid Vision — including which observation types are available, which AI models run, whether inspection workflows are enabled, and custom metadata on both projects and project groups. This reduces the need for manual internal setup on integration projects.

Collect

  • A new Data Management expert tool is now available inside Collect, giving support teams a structured way to fix asset positions, add missing assets, and automatically relink images with improved detection algorithms. The guided workflow walks through five steps — Position Corrections, Missing Assets, Manual Changes, Data Quality, and Image Linking — each with confidence scores and map navigation. A single Store Changes action persists all accepted decisions to the project at once.
  • You can now quickly select and delete all uploaded files at once, useful when a large batch import needs to be undone.
  • When creating asset files for new assets, you can now right-click on the map to pick a GPS position, making it easier to register assets that are missing in Grid Vision.
  • A Notification center is now accessible from the app bar via a bell icon, showing the status of long-running background jobs such as image uploads and group collection. Jobs are grouped into In Progress and Completed, with separate tabs for your own jobs and all users' jobs. A badge appears on the bell icon when a job completes.

Work

  • In Inspect, you can now edit the observation type on confirmed observations, allowing classification errors to be corrected without deleting and recreating the observation.

Observation Tracker

  • The Observations Tracker module is now accessible through role and module setup in the Admin Portal, so access is managed consistently alongside other modules.

Grid Analytics

  • Grid Analytics dashboards now update automatically when a project group is approved, making inspection results immediately visible without a manual refresh.

🌐 Public API

  • Project groups can now be created, read, updated, and deleted via the Public API, following the same patterns as projects. Groups are accessible under .../projects/{projectId}/groups/...
  • A new batch endpoint allows updating the status of multiple observations at once — supporting the On Hold, In Progress, Completed, Cancelled, and Invalid statuses introduced with the Observations Tracker.

Inspect 2

  • More Advanced Image Filtering: You can now filter the filmstrip by file type (RGB, Thermal, Point clouds, PDF) and by tags using chip-style toggles — each option shows a count so you can see what's available at a glance.
    • Pinned filters for "With observation suggestion" and "With confirmed suggestion" make it fast to focus on media that needs attention.
    • Filters combine with AND logic, and the filmstrip dropdown shows "X/N" when filters are active so you always know how much of the task you're viewing.
  • Point cloud settings are now remembered: Your preferred point cloud viewer settings are stored across viewers and across all participants — so you no longer need to re-configure each time you open a viewer. Asset name is now shown by default.

Work

  • Set task — manage asset-to-task assignment: You can now move, add, remove or create tasks directly from the asset list in Work (both project and project group level) and from Task Overview in Inspect.
    • Only assets that are not completed and have no registered observations are eligible — ineligible ones stay visible but greyed out, so it's clear what can and can't be moved.
    • New Asset State and Project Group columns have been added to the asset lists to help you make the right assignment decisions.

Asset Home

  • Observation status updates: You can now see the full status update history for each observation directly on the asset home page, making it easier to track how an observation has evolved over time.

🔧 Improvements

  • Maps: Map legends are now shown in the inspection view, giving you clearer context about what's displayed on the map.
  • Inspect 2: Asset ID and asset name headings now show more characters before truncating, so you can identify assets more easily without hovering.

🐞 Bug Fixes

  • Collect:
    • Fixed relinking selection so that selecting images and an asset for relinking now works consistently, including after opening a group.
    • Assets in Grid View are now sorted using natural sort by default, so you no longer need to click the column header to get the expected ordering.
    • Thermal images now reliably receive the Thermal tag during import, including images coming through the iPEN migration path.
  • Bounding box resize on new observation: You can now adjust the bounding box while creating an observation — resize handles appear in the corners just like when editing an existing observation.
  • Creating overlapping bounding boxes: It was not possible to draw a new bounding box on top of existing ones when "Show observations" was toggled on. This has now been fixed.
  • Point cloud viewer: Fixed an issue where the viewer sometimes failed to zoom into the asset and appeared empty.
  • Image thumbnails: Corrected the selected state styling so selected thumbnails show only the green border, not a green background fill.

Customizable Landing Page

Multiple Tasks Per Project Group

Less time spent on communication and less risk of errors! You can now collaborate a lot more efficiently during inspections. This feature enables the inspectors to work on the same grid segment without risking to work on the same assets. It's also makes it easier to redistribute work in case priorities or resource availability change during the course of the project.

  • You can now create multiple inspection tasks per project group and assign them to different inspectors.
  • Select specific assets to include in each task for better work distribution.
  • Group approval is blocked until QA is completed for all inspection tasks, ensuring quality control.

Project Library Improvements

  • Redesigned project library with tabbed navigation for a cleaner overview and faster loading.
